Youth Summer Camp Scholarship: “I will not be left out.”

Purpose: To provide an Alaskan high school student who is deaf or hard of hearing the opportunity to see another part of the world for a life changing experience.

Amount: Transportation and cost of week long summer camp at location of choice*
Deadline: November 10 , 2017

(*Previous winners went to Gallaudet University, Washington, D.C.)

Jim Vrooman Educational Exchange Scholarship: “Because we don’t know what impact we make on others.”

Purpose: To provide assistance to students who are seeking to develop international experience toward their proven goal.

Amount: $1,200
Deadline: December 31, 2017

3. University Scholarship: Two (2) separate grants for students pursuing higher education.

Purpose: To aid students who are following an education path in the health field or students who are deaf or hard of hearing.

Amount: 2 – $1,000 each
Deadline: March 1, 2018

2017 Scholarship Winners

changgaryMat-Su Sertoma awarded a $1,000 scholarship to Gary Chang, who attends the University of Kentucky, College of Dentistry. Born with Large Vestibular Aqueduct Syndrome (a syndrome associated with progressive hearing loss), he is pursuing a degree in the field of pediatric dentistry.
