Before you Plunge …

Things to Know, Do & Bring.

Why Register online?

  • Plungers hit the water in the order that they register, starting with online registrations, then on-site registrations. If you think you might lose courage while waiting, register online!
  • To ensure a ‘I did this thing!’ Plunge T-shirt in  your desired size, register online early so we know how many to order.
  • Your friends, family and co-workers can Pledge on your Plunge online using any major credit card in minutes.

On-site registration starts at 10:00 am

If you registered online, you still have to check-in at Registration on-site on Plunge Day!

You can review the Covid-19 Mitigation Plan for this event here.

Plungers under 18 must have a parent on site.

Minimum Plunger age is 8 years. Your parent will need to register with you and provide photo ID, sign a Parental Consent Waiver, and remain on-site during the entire event.

Have your Pledge Tracking and Waiver Forms ready!

If you are collecting cash and checks make sure you have a Pledge Tracking Form filled out and ready to by verified. All checks should be payable to Mat Su Sertoma. Get all print forms right here.

What do you want the announcer to say when you Plunge?

You’ll get a 3×5 card with your name on it that goes directly to the announcer. If you registered online, the Announcer will use information from your ‘Shout Out.’ Think about what you want said, and get your card filled out and ready to go!

Bring a change of clothes, and a towel or blanket if you like.

Towels will be provided on site, and need to be returned. Make sure you bring a warm coat to enjoy all of the festivities too!

Think about wearing a pair of shoes to Plunge.

Some do, some don’t, but I venture it might be easier on the feet if they’ve got a sole under them.

Be an Alert Plunger!

Know your jumper number and prepare accordingly. Listen for your number to be called and be ready to go!

Don’t hog the hot tub!

After you jump, enjoy the Arctic Home Living hot tub for 2-5 minutes, and then let other Plungers have their turn to thaw.

Pack it in, pack it out!

We find a lot of personal belongings after this event, and its almost impossible to reunite them with their owners. Avoid this by keeping an extra eye out for your things.
